Cayenne pepper has been used both for culinary and therapeutic purposes for centuries in many part of the world. This pepper is a rich source of potassium, calcium and vitamins such as beta-carotene, B complexes, vitamin A, vitamin E and vitamin C. The botanical name of cayenne pepper is Capsicum annum and the yoruba nomenclature(just trying to be mischievous) name is BAWA. Cayenne pepper is named after the city Cayenne in French Guinea.
It has health benefits if taken internally or applied topically. It inhibits pain nerves when applied to the skin and when taken internally, it can cure you of many diseases. Adding Cayenne pepper or Capsicum to your diet can prove to be beneficial to your health. It contains Capsaicin, the substance that makes the pepper spicy(hot). Recipe- Fill a blender with Cayenne pepper. Cut the garlic lengthwise to see if there is any green sprouts within. The green sprouts may cause stomach ache. Remove them. Then fill the blender about 2/3 of the way to the top of the blender with equal parts of Acid Cider Vineger(ACV) make sure the ACV has “the mother” (cloudy stuff at the bottom). Run the blender for about 60seconds until the pepper is. Pour the mixture into a dark glass bottle with a tight lid.Shake everyday for 2 weeks. Then it is ready to be strained. You can also start using the mixture immediately by using a teaspoon. Pour the filtered liquid back into the dark glass. Use 2-3 eyedropful per day.

Comments and suggestions are welcomed.

So over the weekend my personal person sent me this write-up, you would agree(or disagree) that this my pp is a GENIUS….Hope you enjoy reading it.

I really need your time and patience to go through this, just give me like 10 minute of you time.
Firstly, let me ask you the following questions:
1. Do you eat well?
2. What type of food do u eat?
3. Do u always take fruits as part of your meals?
4. How many kinds of fruits do u eat?
5. Do u take alcohol or smoke?
6. Don’t you live in polluted environments, polluted with industrial and vehicle fumes?
7. How do you manage ur physical and mental stress?
Am sure , you would be imagining why Αll these questions, I eat well after all I take fruits, but the truth is that research has shown that most of the food and fruits we take is this part of the world has antioxidants that are lower to what our bodies require.
You might be asking what is antioxidant and its usefulness?
Antioxidants are what protects our body from rigor of oxidation.
You will ask again what is oxidation? Does it take place in my body system?
Let me use these to explain OXIDATION to you.
1.Oxidation is when an iron rod rust ( it becomes brownish and losses vigor, it as a result of reaction of water and air, oxygen from our environment, but we prevent it from happening to our iron tools and iron materials by using antioxidants to coat these irons to prevent them from rusting.
This process also happen in living things, let us look at this, when you slice an apple, after sometime you see it turning brown on exposure to environment. What’s happening is that, the exposed cells are disintegrating (dieing) that’s why it looks brown or changes colour. In humans, we notice that when we have a cut on our skin, it first looks raw and fresh and as time goes on it becomes darken and begins to dry up, what is taking place is simply oxidation, the exposed cells die and new cells are formed beneath the dead cells. And old dead cells are scraped away.
This is just the manifestation of what happens within our body. In our body cells, cells dies and new ones replace the old dead cells. I know you will want to ask where do the dead ones go?
Please still hold that question ƒor me.
This process is natural and it happens continuously, 24/7 in our body. Oxidation process is what keeps our body healthy. To maintain this process in our body it is essential to have enough antioxidants in our body system. How does this antioxidant act? Remember the last question I asked i.e where do the dead cells in our body go.. These dead cells are called free radicals, they are FREE,in our system and if not properly  managed by the action of these antioxidants they are VERY detrimental to our health, causing disease conditions in our body, what these radicals do is that they bind with the healthy cells making them work ineffectively, some cause the wearing down of new cells that’s produced, others cause aging , some break some reaction chains in our body, leading to bad state of health. These radicals cause so many havocs in our body that I can’t start to mention now. Antioxidant is what fight against these radicals.
Apart from the normal body radicals. Smoking and taking alcohols, is very detrimental to our health because cigarettes and alcohols contains high elemental radicals which disintegrate our system, affects/ disintegrates our lungs lining cells, even the industrial smokes, vehicle smokes which we are all exposed to contain these detrimental radicals that we are talking about. You can see we are prone to loads of radicals , the normal ones from our body system and the categories of those that we take in from our environments from alcohols, smokes and other sources, that is why the level of antioxidants in our food and fruits we take are not enough. And our food lack some of these antioxidants for some of the radicals we are exposed to, this is one of the various reasons we need compositions that are made of fruits, vegetables, water and herbs that contains all these antioxidants our body system needs to maintain good health status.

In conclusion fruits and vegetables are easily accessble and affordable try living on a diet made of fruits and vegetables and grace the true Power of Nature. It balances the PH level of the, balances the body sugar and cholesterol level, mental focus, prevent against cardiovascular diseases, anti aging, weight management, immune system health, increases energy, enhances sound sleep as if you did not undergo any stress the previous day(anti stress), enhances vision, flushes the blood system, balances hormonal disorder, prevent and elimitate cancerous growth, and many more too numerous to mention. It is capable of all these because it is a formula that contains ALL the essential minerals and vitamins, essential amino acids, fatty acids, green super foods, phytonutrients containing botanicals necessary ƒσr our good health. It is what I call the GOOD HEALTH ALMIGHTY FORMULA.

Please don’t read this Alone share with Friends and Family for a society of healthy People.
Yeah I know my personal person is a genius.

Have a blissful week ahead.
And as always opinions and suggestions are welcomed.

Malaria is a mosquito borne infectious disease of humans and other animals caused by parasitic protozoans (single called organisms called plasmodium) that thrives in the red cells of the victim.
Commonly, the disease is transmitted via a bite from an infected female Anopheles mosquito (so na female day cause am), which introduces the organisms from its saliva into the person’s circulatory system. In the blood, the protists travel to the liver to mature and reproduce. As the process continues so does the sickness spread.
-Chills and headache that come and go.
-Fever that recurs every 2 or 3 days, each lasting from 2-3 hours.
-Loss of Appetite.
-High temperature.
-Weakness, pale skin.

  Avoid mosquito bites

What’s that smell????
Over the weekend my aunt asked me for a cure/ remedy for body odour and am like I can do a post about it. But before doing any research on it, I always thought Guys are more prone to body odour…. well what do I know?
Strong or offensive body odour is an embarrassing problem that affects many, and being a sensitive topic, it’s not openly discussed.
Body odour is the smell of bacteria growing on the body. These bacteria multiply rapidly in the presence of sweat, but sweat itself is almost completely odourless. An individual’s body odour is influenced by diet, gender, genetics, health, medication and mood. Surprising isn’t it?
Although commercial chemicals and artificial-scent  sprays may help to temporarily control body odour, they often don’t address the underlying cause.
Body odour often occur/result  when inadequate bathing or hygiene fail to properly clean up the “mess” our bodies make. In women, menstruation and stress often dramatically increase the degree of body odour.
Foods rich in amino acid carnitine found in beef and pork, are known to leave residues in the intestine that have to be worked on by the process of digestion. Specific enzymes break the residues down to an odourless state ready for excretion. If the enzyme is in poor supply or missing a “fishy” body odour may result.
Also i asked someone I would refer to as Oga and she said it is as a result of not bathing the baby well after childbirth and she was of the opinion that nothing can be done about it. Well we would see about that.

Solving the problem

Apply Natural, Aluminum free deoderants. Various herbal and crystal deoderants are marketed as ALL-NATURAL and can effectively control your body odour. Many deoderants and anti-perspirants are made of aluminum in order to halt the perspiration of your sweat glands, and this aluminum is suspected of accumulating in the nervous system and ultimately contributing to nervous system disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease.

Wash regularly
Bathing at least once a day can help limit the bacteria population on your skin; which is the source of most body odours. When washing, focus on troublesome areas like the feet and armpits. Dry your body well after washing, since bacteria grow best on damp skin.

Spritz with Vinegar
Vinegar is a natural antiseptic. It can help kill bacteria and fungi on the skin’s surface. Spritzing white or Apple cider vinegar on odorous areas, then wiping the area dry, can help eliminate offensive smell. Or you can wipe underarm/ armpits with Vinegar before bath and wash it off.

Change your diet
Eat well and eat more of fruits and vegetable.Try as much as possible to incorporate 100% Natural foods and not canned or pasteurized foods.

Wear clothing made from natural fibres
Such as Silk or Cotton. They allow for greater breathability and drive away the moisture and humidity in which odour causing bacteria thrive.

Wipe with a natural sterilizer
Such as tea tree oil which modifies your skin pH to make it undesirable for bacteria.

Baking Soda
After shower apply a pinch of baking Soda and water to make a paste and apply to both armpits and you may add tea tree oil or any essential oil for pleasant fragrance through out the day. This should last for more than one day.

If you have a pungent smell after exercising or eating certain foods, it is possible you have Celiac disease. Take a Gluten free diet.

Taking Chlorophyll supplements also help.

I would love to hear from you.
Any other remedies i skipped,  please feel free to comment.

The use of piants for healing purposes predates recorded history & forms the origin of much of modern medicine. Many conventional drugs originate from plant sources e.g. Quinine (from Chinchona bark), Morphine (from Opium poppy).
Every culture on earth, through written or Oral tradition, has relied on the vast variety of healing plants for their therapeutic properties.

For example – The essential oil of thyme (Thymus vulgaris) contains 20-45% Thymol.  Thymol is a powerful antiseptic and antifungal that is used in a variety of products. Before the advent of modern antibiotic oil from thyme was used to medicate bandages. Thymol for thyme is also used to treat respiratory infections. A tea made by inducing the herb in water can be used to treat Bronchitis and coughs.

# The first point to make is that roughly half of today’s prescription and over the counter (OTC) medicines are derived from plants. New drugs don’t just get created in the laboratory. Scientists trawl through jungles, rivers, wetlands and other natural habitat they can find, looking for a New compound to test against all the sample virus and bacteria they keep for this purpose.
# Herbal remedies tend to produce fewer side effects than modern drugs, and can be more pleasant to administer ( well not in all cases some have very bitter taste ehn I told you ). Also many herbal remedies have  multiple benefits, while most modern medicine focus on one particular symptom or set of symptoms.
# Although taking a little longer to act, it is far gentler on the body and overall result is more Holistic because the whole body is treated instead of just the symptoms.
# Additionally, many herbs contain a variety of vitamins and minerals that the body desperately needs.

You may decide to try herbal medicine for a number of reasons
* You have a chronic condition that cannot be treated, but at best managed, by conventional medicine.
*You are tired of the side effects of modern drugs.
*You have a set of symptoms that are undiagnosable by the mainstream medical system.
*You simply and intuitively believe that Natural medicine is more compatible with the human body.
Naturally anything that has an advantage would definitely have a disadvantage.

* They offer little statutory protection because many are not regulated by the FAD or in our case NAFDAC.
* For prescription drugs pharmaceutical companies have isolated the “active ingredient ” in the herb or plant. In other words, you are getting exactly what you need and nothing more as compared to Natural /Herbal medicine.

In the end, there are benefits and drawbacks to both herbal remedies and modern medicine and those factors should be weighed on an individual basis. If you are thinking about using any herbal medicine, first get information on it from a reliable source.

    Have a great week ahead

Am kinda nervous, since this is my first post well I just want to share what i came across recently and it is just thought i should share with you:-
1)High quality cattle are taken to the city, tins containing corned beef of poor quality are brought back to the village.
2) A mother sells nutritious cassava flour, but her child attending secondary school prefers biscuits.
3) To buy milk powder, the father has to cut down rare wood grown thousand years and burn it into charcoal.
4) Precious bee wax is thrown away after honey is harvested. Shoe polish containing poor artificial wax is imported and sold at a high price.
5) Peanuts are exported to import cosmetics made of peanuts.
6) A malnourished child is looking forward to eating three eggs found in the hen’s den, but the father has sold them to buy a bottle of coke.
7) Cheap but precious palm oil is transported to the city and from there to Europe, where a particularly expensive soap is made from it. From there it is transported to Africa and sold at a price one can hardly afford, because it contains ‘Topical oil’.
